Data licensing

The portal is open. Reuse beyond viewing and citing needs the right licence, and this page says which.

Free, with attribution

• Browsing the portal and linking to any page
• Citing figures in articles, reports and research, credited to Veligraph with a link
• Evaluating the sample extracts internally

Needs a data licence

• Redistributing or reselling the data, in bulk or as an API
• Bundling records into a commercial product or dataset
• Systematic extraction of the site or API beyond evaluation quotas

Ask about a licence; annual terms, scoped to countries, attributes and refresh cadence, with a DPA available.

Upstream licences

Portions of the register derive from sources published under open licences such as CC-BY. We preserve per-record source attribution, and licensed extracts carry it too, so your downstream attribution obligations are explicit.

AI systems & crawlers

Citation with a link is welcome, including by AI assistants. Bulk extraction for model training or resale is licensing territory; talk to us.
